Using VeloVision

VeloVision measures baseball pitches and swings from videos you film with your iPhone. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use VeloVision.

Set up safely. Keep the phone and tripod out of the path of the ball and the bat, and film other people only with their permission.

Accounts

You need an account for Pro’s Cloud library and for inviting friends. You must be 13 or older to create one. Keep your email address accurate and your password private.

Your Cloud library is encrypted with a key that only you hold. If you lose both your password and your recovery code, nobody, including us, can recover your saved videos.

Plans and payment

• Free: pitch speed in whole miles an hour and 50 captures a month.
• Pro: speed to a tenth, unlimited captures, the Experimental measurements, the 3D stadium and the Cloud library, at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year in the United States.

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription bought through Apple’s App Store. It renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, in your iPhone’s Settings under your Apple account, Subscriptions. Apple handles payments and refunds. We may change prices for future periods and will tell you before a change applies to you.

Invite friends

Every account has an invite code. A friend counts once they create an account with your code, confirm their email and complete their first capture. Then:

• your friend gets 10 bonus captures;
• on Free, you get 20 bonus captures for each friend;
• on Pro, which already has unlimited captures, you get one free month of Pro for every 3 friends instead. It comes as an App Store offer code that you redeem in the app, and Apple adds the month to your subscription.

• Up to 10 friends a month count toward rewards.
• Bonus captures are used after your monthly free captures run out, and they don’t expire while the program runs.
• A friend can join with one code only, within 7 days of signing up, and you can’t use your own code.
• Bonus captures and free months have no cash value and can’t be sold or transferred.

Rewards earned through fake or duplicate accounts or other abuse may be removed. We may change or end the program; captures you have already earned will stay usable for at least 30 days after we announce an end.

What the numbers mean

VeloVision’s measurements are estimates from video, shown with their uncertainty (±). Measurements marked Experimental, such as spin, movement, release angles and hitting numbers, have not yet been checked against measuring equipment. Don’t rely on VeloVision for medical, injury, safety or recruiting decisions.

VeloVision is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Your videos and our app

Your videos and results belong to you. You let us store and process them only to provide VeloVision to you, and, if you choose to share clips to improve accuracy, to study those clips.

The app, its design, the VeloVision name and logo belong to us. Don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, or use it to break the law.

Ending, liability and changes

You can stop using VeloVision and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. If we change them, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
