Last updated October 16, 2026. VeloVision is in development; this policy describes the app as it works at launch.
The short version
- Your pitches and swings are measured on your phone.
- On Free, without an account, your videos and results stay on your phone. Nothing is sent to us.
- With Pro’s Cloud library, videos are encrypted on your phone with a key only you hold. We can’t watch them.
- We don’t sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect
This website
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
The app without an account
Filming and analysis happen on your phone. Your videos, results, settings and history are stored on your phone only.
If you create an account
An account is needed for Pro’s Cloud library and for inviting friends. We store:
- your email address, and your password in a form that can’t be read back (a hash);
- when you signed up and signed in;
- your invite code, how many friends joined with it, your bonus captures and free Pro months, and whether you have completed a first capture;
- your subscription status, which we receive from Apple.
The Cloud library (Pro)
Before a clip uploads, the app encrypts the video, its thumbnail and its results on your phone with a key only you hold. We store only the encrypted files plus their sizes and upload times, which we need for storage limits. We can’t open your clips, and neither can our storage provider.
Payments
Subscriptions are bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles your payment details; we never see them.
If you email hello@velovisionbaseball.com, we receive your message and address and use them to reply.
Sharing clips to improve accuracy
You may choose to share specific clips to help us make VeloVision more accurate. This is off unless you turn it on, and only the clips you pick are shared, without encryption so that we can study them. You can stop at any time and ask us to delete clips you shared.
Who helps us run VeloVision
- Supabase: accounts, database and encrypted file storage (United States).
- Resend: sends account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and forwards email sent to our address.
- Apple: the App Store, payments and subscriptions.
They process data only to provide these services to us. We share data with others only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete your account in the app at any time; this deletes your account, your encrypted Cloud library and your invite records within 30 days, including backups.
You can also ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data by emailing hello@velovisionbaseball.com.
Because your Cloud library is encrypted with your key, we can’t recover your videos for you. Keep your password and recovery code safe.
Children
You must be 13 or older to create an account. Younger players can use VeloVision on Free without an account, which sends nothing to us, or on a parent’s account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security and changes
Connections are encrypted, accounts are protected by passwords, and Cloud library files are end-to-end encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we design VeloVision so that the most personal data, your videos, can’t be read by us at all.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
